Last night, my 10 year old son “Ayden” took his mom and I to his room and showed us the quote that he had written on his window and had clouded it so it could stand out.
I had never witnessed before the first glimpse of recognition of anyone’s true power for happiness. It was amazing to see that this young boy at the age of 10 had discovered this simple truth about his reality when many of us die without recognizing that. It is so simple and yet it seems to be distant from many of us.
Our absolute true power lies in our capability to be able to decide. Once we recognize that each decision directs us to a different path and our only task is to make a decision and then enjoy the ride, then at that moment we have had the first glimpse of recognizing our true power.
It is not the difficulty of the path nor the obstacles along the way that makes our goals unachievable. It is the recognition of the power that goes with realizing that once we make a decision and maintain it with a single thought with determination that makes every goal achievable.
It is impossible for the universe not to deliver what you have decided on when it is truly being focused on. When it is made with happiness, compassion and thinking of the unity of all, the energetic path of the sun, the moon, the stars and the universe align
themselves to assist you accomplishing it. When it is contradictory to the above, all those forces provide many reasons for why it should not have been done. Any emotion other than happiness may be considered to be contradictory to the forces of universe, since the universe flows at ease and our interpretation of forces opposing it are dis-ease.
The old man who was dying as he gave his last advice to his family said: “I have seen many troubles in my life but most of them never happened”. How is it that some people see trouble and some people looking at the same circumstances see just another opportunity to grow and move in a different direction. When we choose to change how we look at things, indeed things do change. When we choose to see happiness regardless of conditions we find happiness all around us and when we choose to find sorrow, there is no place that we can be without experiencing sorrow.
Einstein said; “The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe.” and from that moment on everything will change relative to that decision. When we see the world as friendly we no longer dismiss the bush for what it looks like and will find no reason to praise the flower for its beauty. You only see creation at its perfection appreciating the grace that has made it all possible.
I read the quote on the window one more time before I went to bed that night and reminded myself of it so I could never forget that it had said:
