Infrared Sauna FAQ
The infrared heat differs from a regular sauna; In a traditional sauna the room is heated from 180-220 degrees. in a regular sauna you may use water to increase the heat which is externally hot – heating the whole room. Conversely the heat of an infrared sauna is a comfortable time capsule – it continues to increase with time. Infrared rays penetrate the core of your body, heating you from the inside out. The external temperature is much more dry and pleasant.
Because the heaters are strategically placed and may be turned on and off, you may also target specific areas of the body. The internal temperature of your circulatory, lymphatic, and immune system changes. And anytime you move the core temperature from 98.7 degrees, elimination and detoxification occurs.
As the temperature of the sauna is comfortable, we we advise using the sauna 3 sessions of 45 minute session at 110 degrees for 16 weeks for weight loss purposes. However if you are in a toxic work environment, and using the sauna for pain management and detoxification, it is safe to sauna once daily for 40 minutes. Your skin and eyes will glow, and you should notice an improvement in sleep as well. The longer the session the more alkalinized water you will need to drink in order to stay hydrated in this cleansing process.
Studies have proven the infrared sauna’s benefits on participants of weight loss programs. In one Binghamton University study, a test group of overweight participants were exposed to 3 times per week at 45 minutes daily for four months in an infrared sauna. The effects of the sauna were measured on body temperature, physiologic and long-term body weight changes. The results of the study showed a 4% drop in body fat over the four months.
The targeted far infrared rays of the sauna target deeper tissues, triggering the sweat glands. The Far infrared sauna speeds up the metabolism, detoxify metals, causing the user to sweat out toxins and water retention. This creates better circulation to optimize weight loss capabilities during a proper program of exercise, diet, and relaxation.
